Hrant Dink Endowment in Human Rights & Conflict Resolution Studies
The College of Liberal Arts honors Hrant Dink, the Armenian-Turkish journalist who was a crusader for human rights, and who was assassinated on January 19, 2007. As editor-in-chief of the bilingual Turkish-Armenian newspaper Agos, Dink was a prominent member of the Armenian community in Turkey and a forceful advocate for human rights and for Turkish-Armenian reconciliation.
In keeping with Hrant Dink’s commitment to the issues he championed, the memorial endowment will promote teaching, research, and public programs on human rights and on the consequences of man’s inhumanity to man.
