Faculty and Research
Last year, the college utilized the University’s newly implemented PeopleAdmin online employment system for requisitions and demographic data collection purposes in all faculty searches. During 2007/08, the college is asking that units request letters of application and curricula vitae electronically, within the online employment system. For the past year a process improvement team has been meeting to address the handling of faculty searches within the online system and to identify areas where faculty searches can be streamlined. The team is now ready to open the discussion to the larger CLA community. The team will facilitate an open discussion with unit administrators and interested staff to gain additional knowledge and feedback about the system and the handling of faculty searches in the coming year. Administrators, support staff, and chairs of search committees are encouraged to attend.

Cluster Update and Financial Service Team Recommendations Open Sessions:
The team is also holding open sessions to all interested parties for, in part, a follow-up to the July discussions surrounding financial processes. We would like to share with you what we propose to be final clustered and non-clustered activities. In addition, we would like to use these sessions to share with you service team recommendations, including number of service teams, unit groupings within the service teams, dealing with departmental designated financial activities, etc.

Please make sure to update data for both May session (intersession in IRIS) and Summer session courses, and to review your Outstanding Issues report.
