CLA Internal Funding Opportunities

Research Fellowship Supplement. Supports regular faculty who have received national or international research fellowships. Applications may be submitted at any time.

Sabbatical Leave and Sabbatical Supplement. Sabbatical leaves provide for a development leave up to one year at one-half salary and full benefits. Sabbatical leaves may be requested at any time. Sabbatical supplements provide additional support of up to 30% of the base salary. Sabbatical supplements are awarded competitively. Applications are reviewed annually during fall semester.

Scholar of the College. Awarded annually by the College of Liberal Arts in recognition of outstanding achievement by tenured faculty in the college.

Scholarly Events Fund. Supports scholarly events organized by CLA faculty, or in which faculty play a major role, especially when such events promise to make known to the broader community the strengths of the scholarly activities of the college and its faculty.

Single Semester Leave. Single semester leaves provide opportunity for a development leave of one semester in length at full salary and benefits. Single semester leaves are awarded competitively. Applications are reviewed annually during fall semester.
